Having managed to secure a slot last Saturday on Hailsham FM, Chrissie, one of our sopranos and our webmaster, went along to talk to Simon Herbert about the choir and its forthcoming concerts.

We may not be able to sing physically together, but we HAVE been singing! Virtual “Zoom” rehearsals have proved to be the antidote to “lockdown blues” for many of us, so we thought we’d share our fun with anyone in the community who may be feeling that they would benefit from the interaction with others, with some singing thrown in. Judging of the entries has now taken place and Concentus is pleased to announce the winner of the competition is Clive Whitburn from Eastbourne, with a composition entitled ‘Pax Amor Caritas’. The choir is very excited to be incorporating this piece into their Summer concerts this year.
Assistant Musical Director Lou Soper said “We would like to thank all those who entered. It was a very tough decision as the entries were of a very high standard; we were so impressed that Concentus are going to make this an annual event.”
